OV-chipcard

In Dutch: OV-chipkaart. The OV-chipkaart is the payment method for all public transport in the Netherlands. You load credit onto the card in Euro or add a travel product, such as a single journey. The best options for tourists are either an anonymous card or a disposable card. You can buy these cards at the railway station or at various OV-chipcard service points. NS (Dutch Railways)

In Dutch: Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). You can find a journey planner on the site of the NS for your journey by train. They will also give you information on travelling with the OV-chipcard.

The site 9292.nl will allow you to plan combinations of bus, train, tram and/or metro travel.
